Woodhill Mountain Bike Park – Terms and Conditions of Entry

RIDERS MUST WEAR A HELMET AT ALL TIMES

Mountain Biking is a potentially dangerous sport. Ride within your limits in order to minimise risk of accident & injury to yourself & other riders.

Adult Supervision is required for riders under 14 years of age.

  • Customers agree to check-in via the appropriate methods prior to entering the bike park.
  • Customers agree to give correct details when checking in. Failure to do so will result in a trespass notice being issued.
  • Riders must have a cellphone on them, keep it turned on, and respond immediately to emergency texts sent by Bike Parks Ltd.
  • Bike Parks Ltd reserves the right to deny entry to any customer at their discretion.
  • Customers displaying aggressive, anti-social, or violent behaviour will be asked to leave the premises. Failure to do so will result in a notification to law enforcement and a trespass notice being issued.
  • Bike Parks Ltd reserves the right to deny entry to anyone displaying cold/flu-like symptoms or any other contagious diseases that pose a risk to other customers and staff.
  • Customers agree to not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including prescription drugs that impair co-ordination, awareness, etc.).  Bike Parks Ltd reserves the right to revoke access to the park of any rider who is considered under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  Bike Parks Ltd also reserves the right to ask any persons under the influence of drugs and alcohol to leave the premises.
THE CLIENT ACCEPTS ALL INHERENT RISKS INVOLVED INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Structures/obstacles:

  • Are rated according to difficulty and risk.
  • Riders are advised to always inspect structures before attempting them.
  • Never assume that an obstacle is the same as when you last rode it.
  • Bypasses are provided for all structures (except those with signage saying otherwise) therefore, there is the option to attempt or ride around the structures.
  • Riders attempt the structures at their own risk.
  • Bike Parks accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury that may occur as a result of riding structures/obstacles.
  • Due to the requirement for speed and elevation, riders must choose which structures they attempt, carefully.

Trails:

  • Riders must strictly follow the specified trail direction at all times.
  • Riders should only ride named trails and within the boundaries published on Bike Parks maps.
  • Riders will not make any modifications to existing trails, wooden structures, or features.  This includes the creation of alternative lines, trails, and trail sections.
  • Changeable trail and structure/obstacle conditions exists at all times due to weather, forestry debris and terrain erosion; these factors affect the rideability of a trail or structure/obstacle and riders are advised to be aware of changeable conditions.
  • Trails contain obstacles and terrain variations that can appear quickly; riders are advised to ride unexplored trails slowly several times in order to gain a good understanding of conditions.
  • Trail signage and warnings must be adhered to at all times.
  • Throttle-driven electric bikes are not allowed on Bike Parks Ltd’s trails.

Accidents:

  • Through collisions with natural or man-made obstacles, other riders, pedestrians, runners, recreational walkers, vehicles, and animals.
  • Everyday falls that occur through rider error or equipment failure.
  • Accidents with forestry & public vehicles, & other mountain bikers when traveling on forestry roads & when entering/exiting the car park.
  • Riders should be aware of other riders, and be informed that both inexperienced and advanced riders may appear without warning, and at speed.
  • Riders should be aware of trail crossings, trail exits, trail merges, and road crossings.

If participants bring domestic animals to the park, they accept all responsibility for the animal’s behaviour while on our premises.

Riders agree to not hold Bike Parks Limited responsible for any injury or equipment damage incurred at this facility.

The rider has the option of not participating at all and receiving a refund prior to entry.

When driving on forestry roads, participants must obey standard, New Zealand road-code rules, and all signposted speed limits.
